The look of the hood is very sleek and elegant. It is not a complicated appliance to operate and it works well. It is also easy to clean and that is a bonus for being in a heavily used area and being a heavily used appliance.

The unit is far superior to any exhaust fan I have used in the past. I do agree with other readers that it can be noisy but that's mostly at high speed. That said, except for severe circumstances I doubt most of us will ever need the high speed, number 3.I do recommend that Frigidaire make a model for slanted ceilings.

Packing and install instructions are great. install template was awesome. why did it not get 5 stars? this hood i bought as a replacement for a LG studio hood. that hood arrived damaged, but the finish was protected by a plastic film. this hood's finish was not protected. and as such suffered scratches typical with dropped screwdrivers and wiring from the installation.

It™™s been about 3-4 decades since we had a real ventilation hood for the stove. 20+ yrs in an old Maine house had none at all, only option was to open the windows or door to air out the kitchen. Relocation to FL brought us to houses with the microwave hood combo which just barely filters recirculating the air but has no real power. Finally, got a real hood. I™™m not too concerned with gas cooking. It™™s not a daily occurrence for us. However, when we do cook, at least we have some decent ventilation. It™™s a bit loud on medium and high but less than the old microwave hoods so a lot more tolerable. The filters look and feel substantial and are easy to access. The lighting seems to be ok, better than the old style bulbs, the leds seem to cover more area. We also have under cabinet lights on each side so with all lit up, the lighting is excellent. This like all the appliances were builder installed so we had no options. A couple appliances we will upgrade ourselves like the disposer and dishwasher, but the cooking appliances appear to be working well for our needs. I wish it were quieter on high, but other than that it should serve us well.

Works wonderfully over our gas range. We had the hood vented outside. Until clears the smoke and smell. High is a bit loud, but it moves alot of air to make up for the noise.

This hood has met expectations. Was concerned with many reviews about how loud it is, however, I thought it would be much worse after reading so many reviews, and we have no problem with the sound. Vented to the outside and seems powerful. Thought about making it ductless but was not able to get the insert. Be sure you look into that before purchasing. Glad we vented to the outside.

Lawnmower and a leaf blower put togetber to resemble a kitchen hood, is what i call this product. I wear a ear muffler in the kitchen when the hood is on.Frigidaire, unless u have a solution don't you even dare offer me a canned message like "thank u for your input. We have our tech working to improve the product". Tell us how to fix it or do a recall.

Looks great in the kitchen, and functions well.Loud at the highest setting, but we typically use a lower setting, and it is not too loud. A little tricky to clean the canopy without leaving streak marks. But overall we are happy with this fan.

The hood mostly does what it's meant to do, but still not very happy with it.It is extremely noisy, even on the lowest fan setting, but deafening on the highest setting.The filters don't line up correctly when installed, and the whole thing appears to be made out of extremely thin and flimsy metal.Disappointing.

In the specification, the sound level is 69.9 dBA and I checked with the customer service that the range is 58.5-69.9 dBA (1-3 speeds). Mine actual sound is from 72 dBA-82 dBA I talked with customer service again about the loud sound and here is the reply. "This may just be how they are manufactured, and unfortunately, I do not manufacture the units. I have no other suggestions as to why it is louder than specified"Given there are so many people complaining about the loud sound, I am very confused why the specification is so different from the actual sound level.

I would NOT recommend this hood. It's so incredibly loud on the lowest setting you can't hear yourself think. I'm renovating my home and unfortunately my GC installed the hood past the return window or it would be going back. It looks nice, but it's of zero use due to the noise. Very disappointed and a waste of money.

Great unit, goes well with Frigidaire Professional suite of appliances. Noise from fan a bit excessive. Perhaps a small redesign with some heat proof insulation could be beneficial in the mounting stack.
